Family Therapy

Family therapy involves working with the entire family unit, rather than just one individual, to identify and address issues that may be impacting the family dynamic. Through open communication and collaboration, family therapy can help families develop stronger connections and support the family in developing healthier ways to navigate conflict, stress, and emotional concerns together.

What To Expect

Self-Pay Pricing

Family therapy self-pay sessions are available for $200 per session for clients who choose not to use any of their insurance benefits. Self-pay services provide flexible and confidential mental health support tailored to each family's needs, goals, and overall emotional wellness.

Insurance

Insurance-covered therapy services are available for clients wishing to use insurance plans. Clients may be responsible for copays, coinsurance, or deductibles based on their insurance benefits, while the remaining session cost is covered by insurance. We currently accept Aetna, Cigna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, CareFirst, and United Healthcare.

Session Duration

Standard therapy sessions are held virtually through secure video chat and typically range from 45 to 53 minutes in length. Session length may vary slightly depending on each family's needs, treatment goals, and overall therapeutic progress throughout the counseling process and treatment experience.

Format

Therapy sessions are held virtually through secure video chat using the SimplePractice platform. Sessions are designed to provide convenient and confidential mental health care. Clients must be physically located in Maryland during sessions and may not participate while driving or operating a motor vehicle for safety and legal reasons.
