BACKGROUND INFORMATION

Destiny Chimezie is a Marketing and Communications Intern at Flow Therapy, where she uses the power of storytelling, digital media, and strategic communication to amplify mental health awareness. A proud Maryland native and aspiring journalist, Destiny is passionate about using words to create impact—especially for communities that are often unheard or misunderstood.

Her background spans education, the arts, and tech: she’s served as a camp counselor supporting youth in STEM, engineered sound for youth theater programs, and led web design and admin operations for a local landscaping business. Whether she’s managing blog content or fine-tuning outreach strategies, Destiny brings clarity, creativity, and heart to every project.

A natural leader and multi-hyphenate creative, she’s a former Girl Scout, student council president, and National Honor Society inductee. She’s also graced the stage in productions like Hairspray, Sister Act, and Children of Eden, embodying the belief that expression is healing.

Now, at the intersection of mental health, media, and social impact, Destiny is building the foundation for a career in journalism with purpose—one that centers truth, justice, and care.
