Flow Therapy Founder Dominique Thornton Named 2025 Leading Women Honoree by The Daily Record

Fort Washington, MD — 07/08/2025 — Dominique Thornton, MS, LCPC, founder of Flow Therapy, has been selected as one of The Daily Record’s 2025 Leading Women Honorees, a prestigious recognition awarded to Maryland women under 40 who demonstrate outstanding professional achievement, community involvement, and leadership.

Thornton, a licensed clinical professional counselor, entrepreneur, and passionate advocate for mental health equity in Black and Brown communities, will be honored at an awards celebration on August 20, 2025, at the Baltimore Museum of Art. This year’s ceremony is proudly sponsored by Bank of America and Executive Alliance.

“This recognition means a lot to me,” said Thornton. “As a therapist and mental health advocate, I’ve made it my mission to create change and healing spaces rooted in care, culture, and connection. Being honored as a Leading Woman is a reminder that the work is not only necessary but deeply valued.”

Through her practice, Flow Therapy, Dominique supports youth and young adults, particularly POC and marginalized groups, navigating anxiety, trauma, life transitions, and depression.

Now in its 15th year, The Daily Record’s Leading Women Award recognizes honorees based on professional experience, community service, and commitment to inspiring change. Thornton joins a powerful legacy of Maryland women making waves across industries and generations.
